On a life journey to express authentic free living...
Diamantina's unique story begins in 1995 Germany, where a survivor with Kosovan descent was surprisingly born at 6 months premature. The name 'Diamantina' was lovingly created to assign her purpose in life - to shine her light and inspire.
Her parents moved to London when she was two years old and Diamantina ascended from refugee to rising star.
Diamantina's earliest passion for music stemmed from watching superstars on TV and imitating them with any object she could find as a microphone. From performing the leads in school productions, that passion began pursuing acting, singing, dancing and violin classes immersing herself in musical expression.
From the age of 15, her songwriting later developed from poetry and journalling about her personal life experiences as self-therapy. Since then, growing an empire of strength and fierce confidence through her music and the arts has risen. Breaking the mould is what she does best, embodying a defiant, positive and empowering energy with inspirational influences from JoJo, Tori Kelly, Kehlani and Jessie J. Achieving a songwriting degree at London's ICMP (Kilburn) also shaped her artistic identity.
Today, Diamantina’s songwriting touches themes of self-love, romantic love, mental health, and society expectations/pressures from a vulnerable, courageous and open heart which finds a comforting home for her listeners. Her honest, intimate lyrics are delivered with powerful yet soothing melodies which have you singing them without noticing!
From refugee to rising star...
Diamantina is currently on a social media hiatus to focus on the creative songwriting process and rebranding. It'll be worth the wait!
